United StatesI was looking for eco-friendly mats that weren't too thin for use on hardwood floors. I grabbed one of these mats in the 4.5mm thickness just under two years ago and proceeded to use it at least 5 days a week for my yoga practice. I recently had need for a second mat, so I came back for another! The original mat has held up incredibly well. It's taken on some dirt, but if I'm being honest, I don't clean it as often as I should. No smell at all, other than the smell of cork/rubber, though I sweat on it plenty. My original mat has lost a little of its grip, but again I wonder if a proper cleaning would help with that. I'm incredibly impressed with how well my original mat has held up and can't imagine this one won't hold up just as well. Thanks Scoria!
United StatesI do hot vinyasa 2x/week and had been using an older mat with a towel. Sure, the towel has corner pockets to stay in place, but I never realized how much sliding was happening until I got my new Scoria mat! I’m much steadier on the 3.5mm, especially since the heated room’s floors are a bit cushy. When on hard floors, I use a blanket under my knees anyway. It is heavier than a traditional mat, but only a little. The faint rubber smell is so much better than yoga mat funk and a towel I had to wash after every class. Love it so much that I just ordered an extra tall one for my husband. Would love to see more print options there; he picked floral because he loves a bold look. I tend more toward plain stuff, but went with the mountain lion because it was on sale—and I don’t regret it! The image quality is great and the mountain lion makes me feel fierce! Glad to have an awesome mat made with heathy & sustainable materials and support a company with good values.
